Job Description
Lucy’s is seeking individuals who have a positive outlook on life and enjoy serving others. Life is short, and we choose to be around people who bring joy to those around them. The primary responsibilities of this job are providing excellent customer service, thorough cleaning of the store, processing wash/dry/fold orders, and ironing clothing using a presser. Some shifts require more folding and some more cleaning, so the variety depends on the day of the week and customer demand. We know you wouldn’t be applying if you didn’t need a job to pay the bills, but since there are many more applicants than positions available, we will choose the person who will be the best fit for our diligent, flexible, trustworthy team of employees who strive to thrill our customers with excellent customer service. Job Qualifications
You must be able to follow procedures and deliver a consistent, quality product to our customers. We desire a team who knows how to respectfully serve people, solve problems, and manage multiple priorities as employees generally work independently and must use good judgment to make decisions. Previous experience in any job with ONE company for at least six months OR current enrollment in a college or training program is required to provide evidence of your commitment to a plan or organization. You must have the ability to balance a cash drawer and use a computer (training provided), and some lifting will be required both in laundry services and inventory restocking. All applicants will have a background check, so being transparent about your history is in your best interest. We are forgiving Christians, so please just be real! If you are a smoker, there will be no smoke breaks for the entire shift, and your clothes must not smell of smoke when you arrive. Video surveillance confirms your compliance. Customers expect the store and their clothes to smell fresh and clean. We want people on our team who have a desire to make a contribution to a growing business and improve their skills in addition to earning income.
